BUS – there is a variety of local, private bus outfits circulating within Harare (mainly minibuses, like those seen in nearby South Africa). Assuming you’re staying at a hotel, ask the front desk which services are most reliable, and where they pick up passengers. Upon arriving at such a pick-up point, ask the drivers if any of them go to your destination, and ask in advance what the fare is. The only positive is that Harare is a rather small city. Most pursue such buses only if they are staying for a lengthy period (more than a week).
